I’ve tried everything — strip lashes, salon extensions, lash lifts and tints. But nothing gave me the balance of freedom, comfort, and glam like Lashify DIY lash extensions.
They last me about 5–7 days, look amazing without mascara, and once I got the hang of the technique, I honestly felt like I had discovered a secret beauty weapon.
Before trying Lashify, I’d heard it all: “3 days.” “10 days.” “Two weeks.”
For me, the sweet spot is 5–7 days. By day 5, they feel a little dirty — mostly because I wear eyeshadow and work out a lot. But they still look great, and if I have a date night or an event, I’ll swap in a fresh set just to feel flawless
.
? How Long Do They Last?
I sleep on my stomach — lash-wearer nightmare, I know. But I make it work by positioning my pillow so it doesn’t press on the lashes. Sleep masks? Haven’t found one that works yet (let me know if you have).
? Face Washing While Wearing Lashify
Here’s what I do:
Use a Q-tip and oil-free cleanser around the lash line
Gently wipe lashes with non-oil makeup wipes to clear away dust and makeup
In the shower, I either skip rinsing my face or wear goggles (yes, really)
The key is no oil, and be super gentle.
? Are Dupes Worth It?
Short answer: Nope.
I’ve tried all the dupes. The only glue that doesn’t irritate my eyes or fail halfway through the day is Lashify’s Whisper Light. It’s flexible, lightweight, and doesn’t make my eyes red like strip lash glue does.
It’s an investment, sure. But it’s worth every penny.
? Can You Reuse the Gossamers?
Technically… yes. But after one exhausting experience cleaning them for two hours, I stopped. They’re not meant to be reused, and honestly, my time is more valuable than that. Now I always keep backups.
But if you’re traveling or stuck, you can reuse them in a pinch.
? What If One Lash Falls Off?
No stress. If a cluster falls off, I just replace that one. No need to redo the whole eye. It still looks great and blends in just fine.
? Do You Need Mascara?
Nope. But if my lashes get powdery from setting powder or eyeshadow, I just touch them up with a black waterproof eyeliner. It makes them look fresh again without adding clump or weight.
The default lashes in the Control Kit were okay, but I needed more drama. I experimented with different styles until I landed on my favorite combo:
SD14s on the outer corner
SD16s across the middle
118s for a fluttery lift
There’s a whole Facebook group full of Lashify fans swapping tips, and it helped me a ton while figuring things out.
I apply Whisper Light (dual-ended) on my natural lashes
On Day 2, I apply a thin layer of Night Bond (like a liquid liner) at the base
I skip the Glass sealer after Day 2 and just take care of the lashes gently
The more careful I am, the longer they last. I’ve also developed my own technique after trying tips from dozens of YouTube videos.
? Final Thoughts
Lashify isn’t just another beauty product — for me, it’s been a game-changer.
✅ No salon appointments ✅ No mascara needed ✅ No damage to my natural lashes ✅ All the confidence of fresh extensions, whenever I want
You’ll probably mess up the first time. I did. But once you get the feel for it, it becomes second nature. And if you’re a lash tech? Honestly, offering Lashify to your clients could be a whole business model on its own.
